Environmental Mid to Senior-Level Technical Editor
Job Description: Ayuda is seeking a Mid to Senior-Level Technical Editor to work with the business development team to produce high quality technical and cost proposals and to work with the environmental team to edit and format work plans and technical reports to meet deliverable deadlines. The Technical Editor will provide production support for all proposals and related documents and works with Proposal Manager to ensure professional layouts and graphics. This includes: review documents for clarity, punctuation, grammar, and content; create templates for reports; collaborate with the business development team to establish proper guidelines per RFP requirements; formats all proposal text and integrates all graphic files to produce proposal hard copies and the final proposal; integrates, formats, and publishes final versions of the proposal as directed by Proposal Manager; and assists in other areas where needed: i.e., reproduction and binding/ packaging of all proposal versions, and produces proposal volume copies. This position requires strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines, strong interpersonal skills, and a high-level attention to detail.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Must have strong computer and word processing skills using MS Office; write, edit, proofread, and perform page composition for proposals, work plans, technical reports, procedures, and presentations; prepare transmittal letters and other administrative forms and memos required for printing and distribution of documents; ensure that signatures, dates, page numbers, headers and footers, and general content sequencing are correct; design, create, and manage templates for resumes, safety forms, presentations, covers, binders, CD labels, work plans, flow charts, and organizational charts; project management skills are critical including adaptability, time management and meeting objectives/deadlines; must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team; confidence in collaborating engineers and scientists; ability to manage multiple projects; must be organized and attentive to detail; ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment; and performs other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in English, Marketing, Business or equivalent experience; two or more years work experience providing editorial support to an environmental technical group or environmental proposal department; excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely; and ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
